These terms govern your use of Backlot AI: Video Studio (the "App"), published by Apex Apps Inc. By installing or using the App, you agree to these terms.
Backlot renders AI-generated scene swaps on videos you provide. You upload a clip, choose a location and options, and the App produces a new video. Renders are processed by third-party AI services and results vary; we do not guarantee any particular visual outcome.
Backlot offers auto-renewing subscriptions: Starter ($9.99/month), Pro ($29.99/month or $299.99/year), and Studio ($59.99/month). Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your iPhone Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
Pro monthly and Pro annual include a 7-day free trial with 4 render credits. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you are charged the subscription price. One trial per Apple ID.
You keep all rights to the videos you upload. You grant us a limited license to process them solely to produce your renders. You must have the rights to any video you upload, including the likeness of any person appearing in it. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or non-consensual.
Rendered videos are AI-generated transformations of your input. They may contain artifacts or inaccuracies. You are responsible for how you use and publish rendered videos, including compliance with platform rules and disclosure requirements for AI-modified media where applicable.
Do not abuse the service: no scraping, no reselling renders or credits, no attempts to bypass plan limits or payment. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We may change features, credit costs, or prices with notice through the App; price changes apply from your next renewal. We may discontinue the service with 30 days notice, in which case unused pack credits are refunded through Apple where Apple permits.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apex Apps Inc. is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim.
